Who Owns the Book or Course? Do I Keep the Royalties?
Updated Nov 6, 2026
You do. You own 100% of everything the Studio makes for you: your name, your IP, your rights. For books we transfer full ownership with a signed ownership document, and you keep 100% of the rights, profits and royalties. We take no share and set no licensing restrictions. Nothing is shared or resold. The one exception is app partnerships, where ownership is agreed in writing before we build.
By asset
| Asset | What you own |
|---|---|
| Book | Full intellectual property rights, confirmed with a signed ownership document. 100% of revenue from Amazon, your own site or bulk orders. Your name on the cover |
| Online course or academy | The course in your brand, on your domain. You sell through your own Stripe account, so payments go to you |
| Website | 100%: the domain, the design, the copy and the code |
| Lead magnet | Your name, your IP and all source files |
| Videos | Delivered in your brand, for your channels |
| App | Agreed upfront as part of the partnership, in writing, before we build |
Your name on the cover
You are the author. The ideas, experience and methodology in the book are yours, and our role stays behind the scenes.
Where you can sell or use it
Anywhere. Your website, funnels and storefronts, Amazon, IngramSpark and other marketplaces. Many clients also use their book as a lead magnet, a leave-behind at events, or a bonus inside coaching, courses and high-ticket offers. See Selling on Amazon KDP.
How this differs from the Master Library
Master Library products come with private label rights: you can rebrand and sell them, but every member has access to the same products. A Studio asset is made only for you, from your own expertise, and isn't shared with anyone. See Studio vs Master Library.
App partnerships
Apps work differently because we put our own team behind the product and run it after launch. Terms are usually built around a revenue split, and ownership is agreed in writing before we build. See App partnerships.
