Where Can I Sell PLR Products? Gumroad, Etsy, Udemy, Amazon and More
Updated Nov 6, 2026
Your Master Library licence lets you sell products almost anywhere you own the channel, but marketplaces and store platforms set their own rules. As of November 2026: your own website, Gumroad, Payhip and Shopify work well, Udemy doesn't allow private label (PLR) products, Etsy requires digital items you made or designed yourself, and the licence itself rules out Kindle books.
Platform by platform
Checked against each platform's own pages in November 2026.
| Platform | PLR products allowed? | What the rules say |
|---|---|---|
| Your own website, payment links, email | Yes | Only your licence applies |
| Payhip | Not mentioned | Prohibited list (updated July 2026) doesn't mention PLR; bans "get rich quick" content and copyright infringement |
| Shopify | Not mentioned | Acceptable Use Policy doesn't mention PLR |
| Gumroad | Yes | Widely used for PLR-based products. Sell it as your own product, never "with PLR" or "with resell rights" |
| Etsy | Only if clearly your own | "Digital items listed in your store must be made and/or designed by you, the seller" |
| Udemy | No | Removed PLR courses from its marketplace in 2020 |
| Amazon Kindle (KDP) | No | The Entrepedia licence says products can't be distributed as a Kindle book. KDP also won't accept copyrighted content that's freely available on the web |
Other platforms (Systeme.io, Sellfy, Stan Store, Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi, Podia and others) we haven't checked. Use the steps below.
How to check any platform
- Open its prohibited items, acceptable use or content policy page.
- Search the page for "private label", "PLR", "resell", "resale rights" and "AI".
- Read its rules on income claims. Many platforms and payment providers, including Stripe, restrict "get rich quick" offers.
- Not sure? Ask the platform's support before you list.
Rewriting a product heavily doesn't change a platform's rule. If a platform doesn't allow private label content, choose another channel.
Payment providers have rules too
Stripe and PayPal decide what they'll process. Stripe's restricted list includes "get rich quick" schemes. If you sell business or money topics, keep your claims honest and specific.
Where library products fit best
- Inside your own services, as client kits and resources
- In challenges, workshops and communities you run
- On your own website with a payment link, or a store that lets you set your own terms
- For businesses, as branded material for their customers and staff
- On your email list, as free resources and content
Product University's four paths are built around these channels.
About Etsy
If you sell on Etsy, the product must be clearly your own design and edition, not the library file as downloaded. Etsy also asks sellers to disclose AI use. Read Etsy's current Creativity Standards before listing, and use our Etsy fee calculator to see your fees: as of November 2026 Etsy charges $0.20 per listing, a 6.5% transaction fee and a payment processing fee that depends on your country.
Rules change
Platforms update their terms often. Always check the current version before you list, and tell us at support@entrepedia.co if you spot a change.
